Landscaping Manager

JS Romana Landscaping is seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities:- Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of landscapers and ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Create detailed estimates for projects, including labour and material costs, to ensure we stay within budget.
- Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring they are built to high standards and meet client expectations.
- Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues that arose.
- Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and contractors to ensure we get the best value for our money.
- Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure projects are built according to plan.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Source and procure the necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to complete projects.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues that arise during projects and provide guidance to team members to improve productivity and quality.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
- Work Site Environment: Outdoors.
- Supervision: 5-10 people.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Chain saw, small engine equipment, sod cutter, tractor mower.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, initiative, judgement, team player.
