Key Responsibilities:- Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct site assessments to determine the necessary resources required for each project, ensuring accurate estimates and timely completion.
- Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality and safety.
- Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate with contractors and staff to ensure seamless execution of landscape construction projects.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately document all work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring fair prices and timely delivery.
- Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure necessary resources to support ongoing operations and projects.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues, provide guidance, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Work Site Environment: Outdoors
- Supervision: 5-10 people
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Chain saw, Small engine equipment, Sod cutter, Tractor mower
