Air Traffic Control Simulator Operator

Calian Group is seeking a skilled Air Traffic Control Simulator Operator to support the Royal Canadian Air Force's (RCAF) Air Traffic Control (ATC) units. As part of this role, you will be responsible for operating Visual Flight Rules (VFR) Air Traffic Simulators (VATS) at Military Aerodrome Control Units (MACUs) across various active Air Wings.
Responsibilities- Operate VATS and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) simulators to train Air Traffic Controllers (AEC and AC Op personnel).
- Execute realistic training scenarios under various conditions, including non-VFR weather and low traffic situations.
- Collaborate with 1 CAD units to optimize simulator training resources.
- Maintain occupational health, safety, and operational standards in simulator operations.
- Experience with VFR and IFR simulators in military or civil aviation environments.
- Detailed knowledge of Air Traffic Control operations within the RCAF or similar settings.
- Technical expertise in operating and troubleshooting complex simulation systems.
- Understanding of the Force Generation process in military training.
- Ability to work autonomously while supporting ATC units with on-demand simulation needs.
- Previous experience working with radio communication.
