Technical Systems Integration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at Bluedrop Training and Simulation Inc. The successful candidate will work closely with our systems engineering, software development, and production teams to design, develop, and maintain advanced Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) simulation training systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and configure systems using vendor-provided documentation.
- Document and execute systems setup procedures and configuration.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on hardware and software systems based on requirements.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and solution development.
- Work closely with technology vendors to provide system-level support and resolve issues.
- Participate in architecture design, development, and documentation.
- Carry out feature, regression, and integration tests across all aspects of our simulation products.
- Provide remote and on-site customer support for existing products deployed in the field.
- Travel to customer sites to provide hands-on technical support.
- Conduct customer and field support training.
- Conduct product demos.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Familiarity with technical concepts of software systems such as operating systems, networking, and related performance metrics.
- Thorough knowledge of Windows OS and experience using GUI-based Windows applications.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to meet timelines and expectations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
- Comfortable traveling to remote sites in both a product support and customer-facing training role.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of networks and networking concepts.
- Experience with software and system testing.
- Software development experience is considered an asset.
- IT support experience is an asset (e.g., troubleshooting networks, software, computers).
- Virtual Reality (VR) or Mixed Reality (MR) experience with off-the-shelf hardware and tracking systems.
- Experience with military-focused simulation platforms like Virtual Battlespace 3/4 (VBS3/VBS4) or ArmA by Bohemia Interactive Simulations.
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
