Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Toptable Group. As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will be responsible for designing and executing creative pastry and dessert menus, leading a team of pastry chefs, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new pastry and dessert recipes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Lead a team of pastry chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless execution of pastry and dessert menus.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory and budget, ensuring optimal use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement new menu concepts and promotions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in pastry and dessert preparation.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in a pastry or dessert role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry and dessert preparation, including bread-making, cake decorating, and individual dessert plating.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage inventory and budget effectively.
