Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Toptable Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious pastries, desserts, and breads that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute creative pastry and dessert menus that showcase our seasonal ingredients and culinary expertise.
  • Lead a team of pastry professionals in maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items that align with our brand's vision and values.
  • Manage inventory, budget, and ordering of ingredients to ensure optimal use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Communicate effectively with our front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in a pastry or culinary role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of bread-making, fine pastry, cake making, and individual dessert plating.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality control.
  • Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, CIS, or a valid work permit.
