About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Event Management Specialist to join our Customer Events team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating events across the province.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supervising event coordinators to ensure successful event execution;
  • Evaluating event scope and requirements, developing project plans, and engaging cross-functional teams;
  • Coordinating pre-assigned events and programs, including on-site supervision and set-up/take-down of event elements;
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project management schedules and preparing accounting reports;
  • Supporting venue contracting and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best prices;
  • Preparing promotional materials, spreadsheets, and presentation materials;
  • Partnering with LCBO staff to develop marketing materials and technical support;
  • Attending events prior to, during, and after to provide direction and build relationships;
  • Providing resource support for general inquiries, both internal and external;
  • Researching suppliers and venues, obtaining quotes, and troubleshooting sensitive situations.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Exceptional project management skills and marketing/event management knowledge;
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Superior management skills, including the ability to motivate and direct resources;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent negotiation and organizational skills;
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
What We Offer

The LCBO is an equal opportunity employer and offers a competitive salary range of $65,000-$85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
