Complaints Resolution Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Complaints Resolution Officer to join our team at the CCTS-CPRST. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in resolving telecommunications and television complaints in a fair and impartial manner.
Key Responsibilities- Complaint Resolution: Communicate with disputing parties to mediate a successful resolution, and recommend appropriate solutions when resolution is not successful.
- Investigation and Escalation: Escalate complaints to Investigations when necessary, and administer Codes of Conduct as applicable.
- File Management: Manage assigned files in accordance with organizational standards, meeting established timelines and deadlines.
- Theme Identification and Escalation: Identify themes and escalate issues/trends as applicable.
- Support to Other Departments: Provide support to other departments on special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Education: A minimum Grade 12 high school diploma, or equivalent (post-secondary education in a related field strongly preferred).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience handling complaints or in a dispute resolution environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience working in the telecommunications industry is an asset.
- Mediation and Dispute Resolution: Previous experience using mediation techniques, and an understanding of and ability to apply dispute resolution best practices.
- Language Skills: Bilingualism (French/English) strongly preferred, with strong ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with emotionally charged situations.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook skills.
- Industry Understanding: Understanding of the telecommunications or television industry.
