Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Financial Advisor to join our Personal Debt Solution team in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting debtors and creditors in navigating the bankruptcy and proposal process. This role requires regular travel to surrounding areas and an in-office presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist debtors and creditors in person and by telephone to resolve bankruptcy and proposal matters.
  • Conduct initial consultations to assess debtor situations and recommend appropriate options.
  • Review interview forms and prepare files/documents for client signing.
  • Develop and implement community outreach and business development strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience in a financial advisory role or a strong customer service-focused role is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. French is an asset.
  • You must be able to prioritize tasks and manage a variable workload.
  • You will liaise with staff and outside parties to achieve business objectives.
  • Insolvency experience is an asset.
  • You are willing to complete or have completed the BIA Administrator Insolvency Course.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car are required.
