Research and Evaluation Manager

360°kids is a leading community agency serving York Region, dedicated to improving the lives of unhoused and marginalized youth and families. We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Research and Evaluation to join our team.
About the RoleThe Manager of Research and Evaluation will play a critical role in ensuring our programs meet operational objectives and achieve strategic goals. This will involve completing audits, preparing action plans, tracking funder evaluations and monitoring requirements, designing data collection tools, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting on findings. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research and evaluation, with experience in quality management and a deep understanding of the regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, direct, and implement quality procedures, standards, and specifications to achieve 360°kids' goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create effective partnerships and ensure integration of all programs.
- Provide expertise in program evaluation and survey design, data analysis, and report writing.
- Review and assess program outputs, outcomes, and tracking methods to ensure alignment with funder requirements and strategic priorities.
- Support project and program development, requiring qualitative and quantitative data to inform strategies and performance objectives.
- Oversee research projects to support industry best practices and new program development.
- Achieve quality standards by completing program audits, statistical analysis, and problem-solving.
- Meet quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
- Determine training needs and develop training programs to address gaps.
- Provide leadership to a diverse staff team, including recruitment, selection, training, development, and retention.
- Record, analyze, and distribute statistical information to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in quality management and participate in educational opportunities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years management experience in the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience working with street-involved youth and familiarity with quality management tools and methodologies.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification and vulnerable sector screening.
- Strong leadership, motivation, delegation, coaching, and empowerment skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to encourage new ideas and stimulate innovation.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Personal ethics and integrity, with the ability to motivate and manage others.
