Job Title: Manager of Research and Evaluation

360°kids is a leading community agency serving York Region, dedicated to improving the lives of unhoused and marginalized youth and families. We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Research and Evaluation to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Manager of Research and Evaluation will play a critical role in ensuring that our programs meet operational objectives and achieve strategic goals. This includes completing audits, preparing action plans, tracking funder evaluations, designing data collection tools, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting on findings. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research and evaluation, with experience in managing research grants and providing technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, direct, and implement quality procedures, standards, and specifications to achieve 360°kids' goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create effective partnerships and ensure integration of all programs.
  • Design and implement program evaluations, surveys, and data analysis to inform strategies and performance objectives.
  • Review and assess program outputs, outcomes, and tracking methods to ensure alignment with funder requirements and strategic priorities.
  • Support the development and management of projects and programs that require qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Oversee research projects that support industry best practices and the development of new programs and services.
  • Achieve in-house quality standards by completing program audits, statistical analysis, and identifying and resolving problems.
  • Meet quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Determine training needs and develop training programs to address gaps.
  • Provide leadership to a diverse staff team, including recruitment, selection, training, development, and retention.
  • Record, analyze, and distribute statistical information to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in quality management and participate in educational opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Experience working with street-involved youth and familiarity with quality management tools and methodologies.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification and vulnerable sector screening.
  • Strong leadership, motivation, delegation, coaching, and empowerment skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to encourage new ideas and stimulate innovation.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of human behavior and ability to articulate the organization's vision.
