Rehabilitation Assistant

The Rehabilitation Assistant plays a vital role in the patient care team, working collaboratively with therapists to deliver interventions that promote movement, occupation, and function. This dynamic role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About YouWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong foundation in rehabilitation principles and practices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work collaboratively with team members, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Deliver interventions assigned by therapists to patients with limitations in movement and daily function
- Check and clean equipment, maintain treatment and storage areas, and order necessary supplies
- Work collaboratively with the patient care team to promote a safe and supportive environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure seamless care delivery
- Grade 12 or GED
- Rehabilitation Assistant Program (including Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy components)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Organizational ability to complete assigned work and manage changing staffing and caseload levels
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics
- Demonstrate basic computer skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Access to reliable transportation
