Rehabilitation Assistant

As a Rehabilitation Assistant with Nova Scotia Health, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care. Under the direction of the Manager and supervision of therapists, you will assist individuals, families, and groups in promoting movement, occupation, and function. Your responsibilities will include delivering interventions assigned by therapists, checking and cleaning equipment, maintaining treatment and storage areas, and ordering necessary supplies.
About YouWe are seeking a motivated and organized individual with a strong foundation in rehabilitation principles and practices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff. A strong understanding of proper body mechanics and basic computer skills are also essential. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset. Reliable transportation is required for this role.
Hours and CompensationThis is a long-assignment, part-time position with 60 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $25.95. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
