About the Opportunity

As a key member of the patient care team, the Rehabilitation Assistant plays a vital role in helping individuals, families, and groups achieve their goals. Working collaboratively with therapists and other healthcare professionals, this role involves delivering interventions that promote movement, occupation, and function. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and proficient delivery of assigned interventions, as well as maintaining treatment and storage areas and ordering necessary supplies.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong passion for rehabilitation and patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a Grade 12 or GED, a Rehabilitation Assistant Program certification, and Basic Cardiac Life Support training. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with team members and manage changing staffing and caseload levels. Knowledge of proper body mechanics and basic computer skills are also required. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset. Access to reliable transportation is also necessary.

Hours and Compensation

This is a long-assignment, part-time position with 60 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $25.95. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
