The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant to join our team. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support care to patients under the direction of a regulated healthcare provider.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Requirements- Completion of a recognized program for personal support worker;
- One-year experience in a healthcare environment;
- Current certificate of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire date;
In addition to these requirements, we are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. If you have previous hospital experience working as a Patient Care Assistant in a long-term care setting, experience working with the elderly, knowledge of patient-centered care, and a proven attendance record, your profile will be highly competitive.
As a Patient Care Assistant at Mackenzie Health, you will demonstrate understanding and compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all. You will also be able to perform the essential duties of the job, use empathy in interactions with others, and model behavior consistent with Mackenzie Health's Commitment to Caring.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience within the Patient Care Assistant classification;
