Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in various clinical areas. As a valued member of our team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing holistic, patient-centered care to patients within the scope of practice identified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Working independently and collaboratively as part of the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience for patients and their families.
- Contributing to safe, quality care by effectively managing a workload, addressing issues productively, exercising sound professional judgment, and upholding our values of excellence, leadership, and empathy.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program (preferred).
- A current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario (required).
- If graduated prior to 1995, a medication administration certificate from an approved community college (required).
- Recent completion of a physical assessment course (preferred).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
We prefer candidates with:
- Recent experience in one or more areas of Medicine, Surgery, Complex Continuing Care, Palliative Care, Mental Health, Woman and Child Program, ED Holding, MUCC, and RCC.
- Experience working with electronic medical records.
- Familiarity with the Regulated Health Professions Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and adjust to new or unexpected events.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
