About the RoleThis position involves delivering holistic, patient-focused care within the scope of practice identified by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities- Provide safe, quality care by effectively managing workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Address and resolve issues productively and respectfully.
- Exercise sound professional judgment and adhere to best practice guidelines.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive environment through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills.
We welcome candidates who have:
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved nursing program.
- Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
- Membership in the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Experience working with geriatric and palliative care patients.
- CNA Gerontology Certification preferred.
- Ability to speak a second language.
Mackenzie Health offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional growth and development in a supportive and inclusive work environment.
