Job Summary

Sunrise Farms is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our team. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion in the foodservice channel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold-calling, prospecting, and networking.
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to drive sales growth and revenue expansion.
  • Business Planning: Collaborate with the Chief Sales Officer and Sales Management to develop and execute business plans that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Category Management:
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand sales from within the client base.
  • Database Management: Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects and customers.
  • Sales Presentations: Develop and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and other sales actions to prospective and existing customers.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on new products, services, and innovations to effectively communicate their value to customers.
  • Forecasting: Accurately forecast sales volume and provide regular updates to management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
  • Customer Service: Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Training and Development: Participate in periodic sales training and development programs to enhance sales skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in food sales, foodservice, or merchandising.
  • Skills: Advanced analytical abilities, expertise in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), excellent negotiation capabilities, robust business and financial insight, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in technical tasks, report generation, and analysis.
  • Personal Qualities: Effective verbal and written communication skills, competence in problem-solving, ability to navigate and collaborate within a cross-functional organizational structure, demonstrated discretion, patience, and diplomacy.
