Sales Development Representative

Job Summary:
The Sales Representative position at Core-Mark Canada is a field-based sales role that requires a high level of customer interaction and sales acumen. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and expanding a designated sales region, with a focus on growing sales and profit margins through analyzing customer needs and executing sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Account Management: Grow sales and profit margins through analyzing individual customer needs, prospecting and onboarding new customer accounts, and educating customers on convenience and foodservice promotions, programs, and marketing policies.
- Sales Strategy and Territory Management: Execute on sales strategy and territory management, planning a sales approach customized with individual customers, and conducting sales presentations to showcase products and promotions.
- Customer Relationship Building: Establish a personal relationship with customers to better understand their needs and requirements, and review weekly/monthly reports with store managers to identify opportunities for growth.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory, minimize accounts receivable problems, and communicate changes in product line or marketplace to customers.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Experience: 1-3 years of previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Skills: Proven success with closing sales, detail-minded and organized, strong communication and presentation skills, solutions-minded, and ability to learn computer programs and new technology solutions.
- Physical Requirements: Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and ability to travel extensively across the assigned sales territory.
