Sales Representative Job Description

Sunrise Farms is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for delivering the planned annual top-line sales targets for the foodservice channel through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of contacts within the foodservice industry, including chefs, restaurateurs, and food distributors.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales plans, including product launches and promotions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in food sales, foodservice, or merchandising.
  • Advanced analytical abilities and expertise in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent negotiation capabilities.
  • Robust business and financial insight: adept in business analytics, customer P&L management, and planning, tracking, and evaluating performance.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Proficient in technical tasks, report generation, and analysis.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competence in problem-solving.
  • Ability to navigate and collaborate within a cross-functional organizational structure.
  • Demonstrated discretion, patience, and diplomacy.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle; interprovincial travel required.
