About the Opportunity

As a Care Team Assistant with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to patients based on their needs. Working under the supervision of regulated health professionals, you will support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

We are looking for candidates who have completed the Continuing Care Assistant Program and hold Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness. You must be registered and active with the CCA Registry. Additionally, you should have Current Basic Life Support Certification and demonstrate effective listening and communication skills. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients based on their needs
  • Support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living
  • Reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care
Working Conditions

This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. You will work under the supervision of regulated health professionals and be part of a collaborative care team.

Compensation and Incentives

The hourly rate for this position is $23.71 - $25.70. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
