GAT Airline Ground Support is a leading provider of ground service solutions to the airline industry. As an Airline Ground Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient turnaround of aircraft.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the movement of aircraft on the ground, loading and unloading baggage and cargo, and performing various other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain safety and security of the ramp area at all times
  • Assist in ramp setup and storage of equipment and baggage
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) and actively report hazards and incidents
  • Marshal aircraft on the ramp, including directing, assisting, and parking arriving, departing, and towed aircraft
  • Handle customer baggage and airfreight with care, accuracy, and promptness
  • Service aircraft as needed, including lavatories, potable water fills, cabin grooming, and deicing
  • Observe safe ground-handling procedures and maintain ground service equipment
  • Communicate effectively with flight crew personnel and other ground personnel
Requirements
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada
  • Obtain a clear criminal record
  • Ability to obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances
  • Capability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs (23kg) regularly
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
  • Successfully complete airline-specific training programs and recertification
