We are seeking a skilled Air Service Equipment Maintenance Professional to join our team at Ledcor in Yellowknife, NT. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial aircraft ground service equipment and facilities within the hangar.
Job Description:This role involves interpreting work orders and technical manuals, as well as supervising the work of an Industrial Mechanic Apprentice. You will collaborate closely with various departments to create effective maintenance plans while adhering to regulatory compliance and operational requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Maintain, repair, and overhaul aircraft ground service equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot and perform immediate repairs on aircraft ground support equipment on a scheduled basis.
- Maintain tools and support equipment in safe working conditions, ensuring a clean work environment.
- Manage facility repairs and conduct regular inspections for compliance and asset integrity, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and supervise the Industrial Mechanic Apprentice throughout the apprenticeship phase.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Industrial Mechanic or heavy-duty mechanic.
- Aviation ground support equipment maintenance experience is considered an asset.
- Heavy Duty Mechanic/Industrial Mechanic/Journeyman certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Expertise in maintenance and work order practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to coordinate maintenance efforts independently or as part of a team.
Competitive salary: CAD $80,000 - CAD $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
