Security Supervisor

Casino Ajax is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dual-Rate Security Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of security officers in a shift work environment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment while maintaining an open-door policy.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead a team of security officers to ensure the protection of company assets and property.
- Assist with hiring, training, evaluations, recognition, and development of team members.
- Monitor, document, and report internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons, and activities.
- Perform identification checks on guests who appear under 30.
- Escorting guests and team members, enforcing restricted access by unauthorized persons, and observing transactions.
- Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property as assigned.
- Perform crowd control as directed and attend to first aid incidents.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Assist with enrolling guests in the Self-Exclusion program and investigate, report, and document all irregular, unusual, suspicious, or illegal activities.
- A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security or a related field.
- A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field.
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer application packages.
- A current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non-Violent Intervention Technique Certificate.
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
- Must successfully complete the EMR course.
- Bilingualism considered an asset.
