Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Inuksuk Infant Development Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the well-being and development of children
  • Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure high-quality care
  • Lead activities that foster creativity, social skills, and emotional intelligence in children
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports for parents and guardians
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community service providers to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Plan and maintain a healthy and safe environment for children
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability, team player, and values and ethics
Experience:
  • 5 years or more of experience in early childhood education
  • Permanent position with 40 hours per week
  • Language of work: English
