About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Inuksuk Infant Development Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the overall well-being of children.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Activity Leadership: Lead activities that foster creativity, social skills, and emotional intelligence in children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Environment Maintenance: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes children's well-being.
  • Teamwork: Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate
  • Security Clearance: Criminal record check
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability, team player, values and ethics
