NAV CANADA is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Audit Manager to lead our payroll function. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payroll preparation and processing, payroll accounting, tax filing and remittance, and various special payments. You will also develop payroll procedures, controlling and supervising the preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll-related payments. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with internal control requirements, regulatory requirements and HR policies and programs in the delivery of payroll. Collaborative work with both internal (HR, Finance) and external (Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Quebec, etc) stakeholders is essential. You will oversee the generation and reconciliation of all year-end tax forms. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, human resources or a related field or a combination of equivalent education, training and experience. 5 years of experience leading a payroll function (including payroll tax compliance) in a unionized organization is required. Experience processing payroll in-house leverage an HRMS solution, preferably Workday, is also necessary. Significant work experience with demonstrated achievement and leadership in payroll tax processes and regulatory compliance in a service-oriented environment is required. Experience in handling payroll audits, inspections and compliance assessments is also required. Proven experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders is essential. Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) are required.
