Payroll Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at CB Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling and entering payroll data, reviewing wages, and preparing reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and enter payroll data; post wage and reconcile errors to maintain payroll records
- Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
- Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
- Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage for each employee to update master payroll records
- Assist with processing the payroll
- Enter new employee information into the software
- Maintain files and records in written and electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance
- Other clerical duties as required, such as drafting documents and communications, scanning, filing, shredding, and data entry, etc.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting or Payroll is considered an asset
- A minimum of one year of experience in a data entry, administrative support or payroll support role would be considered an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and approach situations in a diplomatic and professional manner
- Proficiency using a payroll/accounting program
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English, with various stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail is crucial for this role
- Analysis and critical thinking, as well as problem-solving skills are required
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
