Emergency Physician

We are seeking an Emergency Physician with a focus on Family Medicine to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our emergency department, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of our emergency medicine program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide full scope of practice as an emergency physician, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the emergency department.
- Participate in call and be available to provide emergency medical services as needed.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team, including nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our emergency medicine program, including quality improvement initiatives and education.
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
- ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and advanced Airway training are required.
