- Perform and Assist in Routine Surgery: Perform routine surgical procedures and assist in more complex surgeries as needed.
- Inoculate and Vaccinate Patients: Administer vaccinations and inoculations to patients to prevent and treat diseases.
- Deliver Babies and Provide Prenatal and Postnatal Care: Provide prenatal and postnatal care to patients, including delivering babies as needed.
- Advise Patients on Healthcare: Provide patients with guidance and advice on healthcare-related matters.
- Report Births, Deaths, and Contagious Diseases: Report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to government authorities as required.
- Be a Patient Advocate: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
- Coordinate or Manage Primary Patient Care: Coordinate or manage primary patient care, including developing and implementing treatment plans.
- Provide Acute Care Management: Provide acute care management, including assessing and treating patients with acute medical conditions.
- Provide Counselling and Support: Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
- Provide Emergency Care: Provide emergency care, including assessing and treating patients with emergency medical conditions.
- Supervise Home Care Services: Supervise home care services, including coordinating and managing home care teams.
- Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC): Hold a valid LMCC license.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, including managing multiple patients and tasks simultaneously.
- Organized: Be highly organized, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
