This role at Equitable Life of Canada is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop your career in human resources. As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for facilitating the hiring process for summer students and co-op positions, as well as assisting with initiatives to promote our employer brand on campus.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the talent acquisition team, including job posting, background checks, managing the central email inbox, drafting offers, and new hire onboarding communications and payroll tasks
  • Supporting HR Coordinators as needed, acting as their primary backup and providing coverage for daily email inquiries, exit interviews, scheduling meetings, processing HR department invoices, and drafting employee change or job offer letters

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to HR team process improvement projects and broader HR initiatives. To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Previous human resources or recruitment experience, ideally handling full cycle recruitment

  • Knowledge of Human Resources and Employment Standards practices
  • Microsoft Office knowledge, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work occasional overtime during conflicting deadlines and quickly shift priorities while remaining calm under pressure

As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a healthy work-life balance, open and honest communication, employee resource groups that promote an inclusive work environment, an onsite cafeteria, and regular EQ Together events focused on company togetherness and collaboration.

This is a hybrid role with a minimum requirement of two assigned days in the office every other week, plus a fifth assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement, and some roles may require more frequent office attendance. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity to grow your career in human resources, we encourage you to apply.
