Addiction Counselor, Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Substance Use Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive clinical counseling and therapy services to individuals and families affected by substance use and addiction.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of clients to determine their needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Clinical Counseling and Therapy: Provide individual, group, and family counseling services to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Case Management: Coordinate with community resources, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care and support for clients.
- Education and Training: Develop and deliver educational programs, workshops, and training sessions for clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Community Outreach and Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote collaboration and coordination of care.
- Education: Master's Degree in Addiction Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years of recent experience in addiction counseling or a related field.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge of substance use and addiction, assessment and treatment planning, clinical counseling and therapy, case management, education and training, and community outreach and partnerships.
