Overview

Match Retail is seeking a driven Account Executive with a deep understanding of the Canadian retail landscape. In this role, you will cultivate strong relationships with key clients and oversee regional teams to drive sales growth, profitability, and client performance indicators (KPIs). As an Account Executive, you'll possess exceptional organizational skills, analytical abilities, and a knack for building lasting customer connections.

Your primary focus will be facilitating seamless communication with clients to foster business expansion, establish enduring partnerships, and achieve shared objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, demonstrating a thorough understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
  • Conduct ongoing market and consumer research to develop effective strategies that optimize client outcomes.
  • Leverage your expertise in client brands, national retailers, and relevant categories to provide strategic recommendations that support client growth.
  • Drive sales performance and exceed revenue targets.
  • Create compelling strategic presentations for clients, leading to exceptional programs and increased billings.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, consistently showcasing Match Retail's values and delivering outstanding results.
  • Lead internal teams to ensure successful execution of client objectives.
  • Guide the professional development of Account Supervisors, Account Coordinators, or Field Team members through knowledge sharing and regular check-ins.
  • Manage program finances, budgets, and reconciliation processes effectively.
  • Ensure flawless program implementation from ideation to post-program analysis.
  • Handle timely invoicing management with clients.
  • Address challenging conversations with clients regarding budgeting, resourcing, or other critical matters.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in an agency or a related field.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience in client management (large portfolio) and program launches.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills and the ability to manage multiple clients effectively.
  • Leadership abilities with demonstrated team management experience.
  • Familiarity with working with and selling to National Retailers.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and find solutions to project obstacles.
  • Strong retail knowledge, sound judgment, and strategic planning skills.
  • Creative problem-solving approach with a hands-on mentality.
  • Skilled in business analysis to help clients identify new opportunities.
  • Effective project manager with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
