The Account Executive plays a crucial role in driving branch sales growth and aligning with strategic objectives while fostering collaboration within the branch. This position involves managing existing accounts and onboarding new clients in accordance with the DSV Sales Process, achieving sales targets with assigned clients, and identifying new opportunities by promoting DSV products and services. The role requires effective coordination across various functional areas (Product, Sales, Operations) throughout the sales cycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Build and maintain a robust account portfolio, focusing on all DSV services while targeting specific market segments.

• Strategically plan and execute a regular schedule of client calls and visits as per sales management guidelines.

• Document all sales activities, ensuring a minimum number of calls as required by management, while optimizing efficiency through strategic geographical account identification.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer profiles, account records, and mailing lists.

• Generate and track sales leads and relevant information for both existing and prospective business.

• Ensure consistent communication with all regional offices, both domestic and international.

• Respond promptly to incoming sales inquiries for assigned accounts/territories based on management's timeframes.

• Provide comprehensive market and account reports to sales and marketing management, as well as regional offices, to keep all stakeholders informed.

• Utilize all available resources and tools as directed by sales and marketing management in daily operations.

• Stay informed about all FMC guidelines, including new regulations and changes.

• Foster a proactive relationship with Pricing Staff regarding related matters.

• Maintain accurate records of all expenses related to customer entertainment, travel, and other costs in line with company policies.

• Attend departmental meetings and represent DSV at trade shows and association meetings professionally.

• Oversee the performance of assigned markets and collaborate with all relevant parties to ensure success.

• Maintain regular communication with overseas offices and take necessary actions to ensure compliance with directives.

• Keep the Manager of Business Development informed of any issues related to the area of responsibility.

Quality, Health & Safety:

• Support the organization's commitment to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification standards.

• Perform assigned tasks to help DSV achieve its quality, health, safety, and environmental objectives, adhering to the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.

• Ensure that daily activities promote sustainability and health and safety, minimizing environmental impact and enhancing workplace safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience


• Degree in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• 3-5 years in a Sales Development role.

• 3 years of industry experience.

• CIFFA certification is a plus.

Language and Computer Skills


• Proficient in English and French.

• Effective communication skills in a diverse, multicultural environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

• Experience with CargoWise is an asset.
