We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Surveyor to join our team at Control Union Canada Inc. as a key member of our inspection and evaluation team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and evaluations of marine vessels, equipment, and materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct on-site inspections and evaluations of marine vessels, equipment, and materials to identify defects and non-compliance issues.
- Prepare detailed investigative reports of findings, including photographs and technical data.
- Inspect and evaluate material and equipment for compliance to standards, including watercraft and other marine-related items.
- Sample products, perform tests, and record data to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Receive, analyze, and verify copy for accuracy, including documentation and records.
- Inspect vessels to identify defects and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
- 5 years or more of experience in a related field, such as marine surveying, inspection, or quality assurance.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
- Ability to work in a variety of settings, including outdoors and in rural areas.
