Job Summary:

The Marine Surveyor will be responsible for conducting inspections and evaluations of vessels, equipment, and materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine surveying, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of vessels, equipment, and materials to identify defects and non-compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports of findings, including photographs and technical data.
  • Inspect and evaluate material and equipment for compliance to standards, including watercraft and other marine-related equipment.
  • Sample products, perform tests, and record data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Receive, analyze, and verify copy for accuracy, including documentation and records.
  • Inspect vessels to identify defects and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of inspections and evaluations.
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in marine surveying or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors and in rural areas.
