About the Role

At SMS Equipment Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Lifecycle Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to optimize equipment lifecycle costs for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sales and Branch Teams: Work closely with our sales and branch teams to design and develop equipment maintenance contracts that meet the unique needs of our customers.
  • Contract Analysis and Optimization: Analyze existing contracts to identify opportunities for cost savings and develop strategies to optimize equipment lifecycle costs.
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of equipment lifecycle costs, including parts pricing files and guaranteed availabilities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and develop new systems, templates, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy in contract development.
  • Special Projects: Support special projects as assigned by management.
  • Contract Expertise: Provide expertise on all contracts, quotes, and business development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education: A post-secondary education or relevant journeyperson certification is required.
  • Heavy Equipment Industry Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry is required.
  • Practical Knowledge: Practical knowledge of mining and construction equipment is essential.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and analytical skills are required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including a good level of knowledge of MS Office, are required.
