Role Overview:
The Fashion Stylist plays a crucial role in showcasing a wide array of products, particularly focusing on clothing, within our studio environment. This position collaborates closely with the Lead Stylist and the studio team to effectively convey the brand's visual identity through expert styling techniques, both on and off the model. The Stylist must thrive in a dynamic setting and be adaptable to the evolving demands of the pre-production and shooting phases. A portfolio that illustrates proficiency in both on and off-figure styling is essential.
This position actively contributes to our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives by recognizing opportunities to enhance the representation of our products and brands. The Stylist will prioritize inclusivity to foster a collaborative culture by eliminating obstacles for our associates and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute high-volume styling of garments on mannequins, achieving a minimum of 45 styled pieces daily with meticulous attention to detail. Collaborate with studio teams to produce consistent, high-quality product imagery while adhering to established visual standards. Work alongside studio teams to enhance workflow efficiency and meet daily production targets. Follow established styling protocols to proactively identify and address potential issues with samples prior to shooting. Prepare garments for shoots, ensuring they align with established style and brand guidelines through ironing and steaming. Stay informed about current and newly introduced designers, brands, and collections to maintain a fresh perspective. Engage in continuous improvement of visual content by testing innovative concepts and styling techniques in partnership with the Lead Stylist; research and establish best practices for new categories and projects. Assist in the organization and maintenance of the prop closet, supporting the Lead Stylist in managing studio space and props. Provide training support to new team members as required. Adapt to scheduling changes, manage time effectively, and seek ways to enhance productivity. Keep abreast of the latest styling tools and techniques in the industry. Support other areas of catalog operations as volume demands.Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in a high-end retail fashion or e-commerce setting. A degree or diploma in Photography, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is advantageous. Familiarity with the Looklet system is a plus. Understanding of garment construction, fabric types, care instructions, color theory, and matching. Passion for and knowledge of current fashion trends. Experience in curating and assembling fashion-forward looks. Exceptional skills in steaming and ironing, with experience using industrial-grade equipment and various styling tools. Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Mac OS. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements throughout a standard shift.What to Expect:
