Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilities Maintenance: Ensure that all facilities are clean, tidy, and well-maintained, including hallways, floors, stairs, and bathrooms.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners, sweepers, and other equipment to remove debris and maintain a clean environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect bathrooms, fixtures, and other high-touch areas to maintain a healthy environment.
  • Snow and Ice Removal: Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our facilities.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Language Training: Assist newcomers and refugees with language training and skills development to help them integrate into the workforce.
  • Job Placement: Help newcomers and refugees find employment opportunities and provide support with job placement and retention.
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training to employees to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
Support for Youth:
  • On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training and mentorship to youth to help them develop skills and gain work experience.
  • Job Placement: Help youth find employment opportunities and provide support with job placement and retention.
  • Career Development: Provide career development opportunities and resources to help youth achieve their career goals.
Support for Veterans:
  • Transition Support: Assist veterans with their transition into the civilian workforce, including job placement and career development.
  • Career Development: Provide career development opportunities and resources to help veterans achieve their career goals.
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training to employees to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training to employees to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations to promote cultural understanding and exchange.
