Position Overview:

The Fixed Cost Analyst (Contract) plays a crucial role in the financial landscape of the organization. The key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive financial analyses, including forecasting and variance assessments.
  • Assisting in the formulation of annual business strategies.
  • Providing essential support to Sales & Marketing operational teams.
  • Engaging professionally with various teams across Canada and the US.
  • Driving innovation and enhancing process efficiencies.
  • Managing special projects aligned with corporate goals.
  • Creating impactful presentations.
  • Executing various month-end accounting tasks, which include journal entry bookings, actuals reporting, and timely completion of diverse reports.
  • Supporting Internal Controls and associated programs and initiatives.
  • Cross-training with other roles within the Fixed Cost department (G&A, Non-Rev Company Car).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of ONE (1) year of experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA designation is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP accounting systems is an asset.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to meet internal deadlines.
  • Willingness to consider potential rotation into US-based roles in the future.
