Position Overview

The Lead Manager, Cost Accounting plays a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations within Pernod Ricard España SA. This position will report directly to the Director of Cost Accounting and will be instrumental in managing financial activities, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Oversee the month-end financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in local submissions.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing centralization and compliance with internal controls, aligning with best practices.
  • Apply consistent cost accounting methodologies across various entities.
  • Facilitate rolling forecast reporting and analysis, in line with established processes.
  • Assist in the consolidation and reporting of key financial metrics, focusing on inventory management and capital expenditures.
  • Collaborate with different divisions to conduct ad hoc analyses related to budget management and financial forecasting.

Accounting and Internal Controls

  • Implement and maintain robust accounting and finance procedures.
  • Lead the month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of internal controls.
  • Guide the determination of depreciation rates for capital assets.
  • Support external audit processes as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in International Financial Reporting within a production accounting context.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes including budgeting and reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and forecasting.
  • Experience with NetSuite and JDE E1 is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
