Position Overview:

The Cost Analysis Specialist is tasked with a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing financial performance and operational efficiency.

  • Financial Analysis: Conducting in-depth financial evaluations, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Business Planning: Assisting in the formulation of annual business strategies.
  • Support Functions: Offering essential support to Sales and Marketing operations.
  • Collaboration: Engaging professionally with various teams across Canada and the US.
  • Process Improvement: Focusing on innovation and enhancements in processes.
  • Project Management: Managing special projects that align with corporate goals.
  • Presentation Development: Creating impactful presentations for stakeholders.
  • Accounting Duties: Performing month-end accounting tasks, including journal entries and actuals reporting under tight deadlines.
  • Internal Controls: Supporting internal control measures and related initiatives.
  • Cross-Training: Collaborating with other roles within the Fixed Cost group.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in Finance or Accounting.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of teamwork.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA designation is advantageous.
  • Experience with SAP accounting systems is a plus.
  • Flexibility in work hours to meet deadlines.
  • Openness to potential rotation into US-based roles.
