Job Summary

The Dexterra Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide kitchen management and leadership when the Chef is on scheduled days off
  • Prepare, present, design, and serve high-quality rotational menus that meet the expectations of our clients
  • Supervise kitchen staff productivity and ensure compliance with Dexterra Group policies and procedures, including health, safety, and quality protocols
  • Ensure all foods are prepared using safe food handling practices and in accordance with Dexterra Group safety guidelines
  • Manage and record inventory on a bi-weekly basis and report costs on a daily spend report

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the hospitality/food service industry, with at least 2 years as a Sous Chef in a similar role
  • SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification
  • Strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a positive outgoing personality
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
