About the Role

The Maintenance Planner Scheduler is a critical member of our team, responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance and limited production tasks, third-party services, contractors, and vendors involved in the maintenance, design, improvement, and repair of company equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly prioritization meetings to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure alignment with production requirements.
  • Create work orders from work requests and distribute relevant documentation to supervision.
  • Track and analyze KPIs to optimize maintenance performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and execute maintenance planning strategies and processes to ensure asset reliability and efficiency.
  • Coordinate activities with internal customers and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
  • Develop and maintain PMs, MSS, and CILs, and improve the overall maintenance process.
  • Analyze and plan resources, materials, and outside services to complete work orders efficiently.
  • Schedule internal and external resources, materials, and services to meet work order requirements.
  • Develop work standards and job plans in collaboration with supervision.
  • Create and distribute daily and weekly schedules to ensure smooth maintenance operations.
  • Ensure work orders are closed when completed and facilitate maintenance planning and scheduling meetings.
  • Arrange availability of shared resources and stage materials for planned work.
  • Manage the department's technical documentation and stores.
  • Identify and communicate safety precautions, including internal and external risk assessments.
  • Ensure accuracy of the maintenance management system, including equipment history, labor tracking, and parts management.
  • Execute tasks as dictated by the role's checklist and establish maintenance routines for new equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
About You
  • College diploma or engineering degree, or two years of experience in plant maintenance and planning, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CMRP or MMP designations an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership and employee engagement skills.
  • High level of regulatory technical expertise, continuous improvement, and maintenance best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • SAP knowledge an asset.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance (PM) programs.
  • Ambition and motivation to succeed and meet goals.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
