Position: Maintenance Planner

Shift: Conventional Shift (days)

Hourly Rate of Pay: $35.68

Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for orchestrating and scheduling maintenance tasks essential for the optimal functioning of all plant machinery and facilities. Collaboration with the Mechanical Lead Hand, Electrical Lead Hand, and MRO coordinator is crucial to ensure that maintenance activities are effectively prioritized and executed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and organize all maintenance tasks to foster a culture of safety and reliability.
  • Utilize MP2 software on a daily basis to oversee work orders and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Guarantee that all maintenance assignments are planned and scheduled for timely and efficient completion.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules two weeks in advance and communicate with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Employ MS Excel to create timelines for planned outages.
  • Manage maintenance downtime activities to ensure all necessary work is performed safely and according to plan.
  • Ensure that all required parts are organized and delivered to job sites.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements, including safety improvements and optimization of preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in formulating strategies for improvement initiatives.
  • Recognize the significance of Preventative/Predictive Maintenance and plan all related activities accordingly.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for preventive maintenance challenges.
  • Collaborate with the MRO coordinator to update spare parts inventories in MP2 as needed.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices and mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Word and Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven with a robust work ethic.
  • Preferred: College certification in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Availability for conventional shifts (days) and willingness to work overtime as necessary.
