Assistant Restaurant Manager Job Description

A&W Restaurants Inc is seeking a skilled Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Kitimat, BC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise overall shift and daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high-quality service and efficient food preparation.
  • Manage inventory control, ordering, cost control, and weekly inventory counts.
  • Train, develop, and confront poor performance of staff members.
  • Ensure staff safety and a healthy, motivating work environment.
  • Manage accidents or complaints, implementing service recovery programs.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience in a restaurant supervisory role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership abilities.
  • Expertise in all restaurant positions and complete knowledge of restaurant Operating Systems and Operating Standards.
  • Ability to do accounting and manage administrative aspects of the operation.
Preferred Skills:
  • Acceptable oral and written English communication skills.
  • Acceptable mathematical skills.
  • Ability to train and coach others in a 'hands-on' approach.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Demands:
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Some heavy lifting.
