A&W Restaurants Inc is seeking a skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join their team.

About the Role

The Restaurant Operations Manager will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations
    • Manage the restaurant's operating systems, including inventory control, ordering, and cost control.
    • Ensure that all staff are trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
    • Monitor and maintain the restaurant's cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
    • Manage staff schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
    • Address any staff performance issues and provide coaching and support as needed.
  • Financial
    • Manage the restaurant's finances, including cash handling, inventory control, and cost control.
    • Prepare and manage the restaurant's budget, ensuring that all financial targets are met.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service, including prompt and friendly service.
    • Manage customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction levels.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a restaurant supervisory role.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Expertise in all restaurant positions.
  • Complete knowledge of restaurant operating systems and operating standards.
  • High interest in developing others.
  • Ability to do accounting and manage administrative aspects of the operation.

Preferred Skills

  • Acceptable oral and written English communication skills.
  • Acceptable mathematical skills.
  • Ability to train and coach others in a 'hands-on' approach; imparting knowledge.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to lead meetings.
