As an intern at PCL, you will have the chance to engage in meaningful work assignments within a nurturing environment that encourages both personal and professional development.

We are in search of a Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Student for our Canadian Industrial Division. This role will involve working as an Engineering Intern on a project site. We are looking for candidates who are eager to contribute and learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, monitoring progress, and managing costs.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Review engineering drawings.
  • Submit requests for information as needed.
  • Help identify and resolve technical issues in the field.
  • Promote safety initiatives and act as a safety ambassador.
  • Conduct field safety inspections.
  • Communicate updates and changes to trades personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a focus on mechanical, electrical, or civil disciplines.
  • A strong interest in working within a construction setting; prior experience in the field is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD and Bluebeam is a plus.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Ability to approach tasks from multiple engineering perspectives.

Working Conditions:

  • Candidates must possess their own CSA-approved steel-toed boots and be prepared to undergo a Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Test.

Compensation: $24-30 per hour, with wages determined based on individual qualifications and experience.
