We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineering Leader to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Health Sector, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of major healthcare projects, collaborating with clients and internal teams, and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Lead engineering project teams for the design and delivery of major healthcare projects, ranging from 80,000 sqft to 800,000 sqft in typical project size.
- Collaboration and Communication: Interface regularly with architectural and engineering leaders across North America to thrive and contribute within the integrated design practice.
- Leadership and Representation: Serve as a local leader to inspire our team, represent healthcare design, and reinforce the global brand of Stantec.
- Business Development and Growth: Sustain and grow revenue within your region and across the North American market, helping to attract top-tier clients and achieve top-line growth for the health sector.
- Operational Performance: Collaborate with technical and managerial project leads to achieve key operational performance metrics, including traditional financial metrics and demonstrating improved health outcomes for the projects we deliver.
- Business Planning and Development: Lead local and regional business development pursuits and business planning, including pre-positioning, strategic proposal development, and achieving business development and financial goals in accordance with Stantec policies.
- Thought Leadership and Branding: Contribute to the thought leadership and brand of Stantec by sharing knowledge and innovation stories at key client engagements, industry events, and across professional networks.
- Experience and Expertise: Recent experience in healthcare with interest in specialty focus, along with appreciation for any or all of the following markets: Acute Care, Outpatient Care, Women's Health, Behavioral Health/Mental Health, Cancer/Proton Therapy, and Long Term Care project(s).
- Project Delivery Innovations: Acumen related to project delivery innovations in IPD, APD, Modular approaches, and related advancements.
- Design and Planning Acumen: Demonstrated design and planning acumen and leadership on major projects.
- Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead project teams across a range of healthcare project types and scales, with proven ability to balance a book of business in this regard.
- Technical Expertise: Technical understanding of Electrical Engineering for health facilities, with direct design experience in Power, Lighting, and Low Voltage systems.
- Business Development and Strategy: Experience with strategic pre-positioning for pursuits, including engagement strategies, responding to Expression of Interests, Statements of Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, formal interviews, and professional fee and contract negotiations.
- Leadership and Team Engagement: Excellent organization, coordination, leadership, team-building, and team engagement talent.
- Market Assessment and Planning: Knowledge of market assessment techniques and insights, along with ability to create aspirational and achievable business plans.
- Education: Bachelors' degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Credentials and Certifications: Licensed and credentialed Engineer is preferred. In addition to having a strong understanding of Electrical systems, experience and understanding of Mechanical system is highly preferred. Project Management Professional certification a plus. Obtained ASHRAE Healthcare Facility Design Professional (HFDP) certification or similar specific to engineering discipline is a plus.
