Diesel Engine Service Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Service Specialist to contribute to our operations.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact through the following responsibilities:
· Execute repairs on engine systems within a service environment
· Conduct maintenance and repairs using diagnostic equipment
· Keep comprehensive records of serviced machinery
· Comply with Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental standards
· Engage in continuous training and certifications on both new and existing Cummins technologies
· Maintain personal tools in good working condition
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(Entry Level):
· Primarily focused on maintenance tasks or basic repairs and diagnostics
· Requires direct oversight and evaluation of work quality
(Intermediate Level):
· Capable of performing complex internal engine repairs
· Conducts engine overhauls with minimal supervision
(Advanced Level):
· Proficient in troubleshooting with limited or no diagnostic support
· Handles larger and more intricate engine rebuilds
· Provides mentorship to junior technicians, including technical guidance and documentation
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Product repair and maintenance - Executes repairs and maintenance on mechanical and electrical products, ensuring quality and adherence to guidelines.
Engine systems interactions - Analyzes the interactions of various systems to accurately diagnose and repair issues.
Health and safety fundamentals - Promotes proactive health and safety practices to foster a safe workplace environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Preferred: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician
Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
Valid local driving permit
This role may require compliance with licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations.
EXPERIENCE
Basic field service work experience
Intermediate knowledge of engine products
Customer service experience
Experience in mine site operations is considered an asset.
This position will adhere to all terms and conditions outlined in the IUOE CBA. Shift schedule: 5X2 or 4X3, Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend opportunities may be available.
Required: driver's abstract, motor vehicle history report, and Journeyperson Certificate.
